“Often a single experience will open the young soul to music for a whole lifetime"

Here at Little House of Music, we hope to nurture your child's love and appreciation for singing, playing, creating, moving, dancing, and all things music-related. Using activities that engage the whole child– intellectually, socially, emotionally, and musically – Little House of Music is a program that is developmental, sequential, child-centred, and most importantly.... fun!

Children use their whole bodies to engage actively in music-making. They develop strength and coordination, balance, and a sense of their bodies in space. Activities are designed to engage fine and gross motor skills and reinforce fundamental coordination and cross-cerebral movements. Music also supports and develops a child's ability in math, speech, language, and empathy all whilst teaching them to sing in tune, play an instrument and have accuracy with beat and rhythm.

Children are often encouraged to learn a musical instrument from an early age, therefore it is important to teach your child music, and how to be musical. These skills are transferable to any instrument and will support their development on their chosen instrument when the time is right. These classes not only support a child learning an instrument but also deepen and enrich their musical understanding of notation, harmony, composition, sight-reading, performing, and ensemble work, to name a few.
